NFT Star Rating

More is definitely better

Both the weapons and utility mod NFTs share a similar trait with respect to their rarity denoted by their star count. This ranges from 1-5. This is incredibly important to remember when fitting out your weapons and utility pools (accessible via the HANGAR menu), as they indicate the draw probability of that item when you collect an in-game power up.

There is a 1% base chance that the card will be drawn, for every star present on the card.

There are other ways to improve the chance that a specific card will be chosen such as:

  • Card Boosters These small consumable boosts can be applied to a single item in your inventory (NFT / crafted). This will boost the probability that this card will be chosen when collecting an in-game power up. This stacks with the Fortune Booster.

  • Fortune Booster Lady luck is smiling on you thanks to the use of this booster. This applies a flat increase of +10/30/50 % to all items equipped in the category listed on the boost.

  • Let's Gamble (The Black Market) You can gamble your unused cards against the Black Market NPC in an attempt to make another card stronger. However, be warned! This is an illegal activity in Neko Sekai and there are consequences if caught! SUCCESS Upon successful completion of a deal with the black market trader, some/all of the stars from the sacrificed item will be applied to the empowered item. The maximum number of stars that are awarded depends on the star level of the sacrificed card. The amount is randomised between 1 and the sacrificed cards rarity. You may boost the chances to receive a higher number of stars in return for a small fee payable to the NPC. This will destroy the item (if crafted), or temporarily disable the NFT. YOU FAIL Upon failure, the item that you attempted to remove the stars from, is destroyed. If this was an NFT, the card is temporarily disabled (3-30 days). The service fee is lost and the transaction is concluded. Better luck next time! YOU GOT CAUGHT The GEA (Galactic Enforcement Agency) don't mess about and the black market NPC ain't gonna take no responsibility for your crime. He'll deny everything and you'll be the one to pay. Fines can be pretty significant so make sure you're not struggling financially before attempting to trade. What if I can't pay? If you can't pay the fine, you will receive the Debtors Debuff to your account which will prevent the use of certain services and reduce your battle efficiency until the debt has been cleared. You may be able to arrange a loan with the Bonds Department where you will agree to repay the loan back with interest. This will prevent the Debtors Debuff.
