Arena Rank

Detention / Sector 3: PvP Arena

Another popular way to earn in our game is via your global arena rank. Your arena rank is based upon Wins / Losses and is earned while playing in our Detention and Sector 3 arena game modes.

Each are independent of one another and have their own prize pool.

ABOUT

Detention is a 1 vs 1 arena mode. Players compete against each other in a variety of skirmishes where only one will emerge victorious. There will be a variety of maps and objectives in these arena modes which include Capture The Flag, Sabotage, Deathmatch and other game types.

There are a maximum of 3 rounds played in any one match. The victor will be the first player to win 2 rounds. The players will then have their arena ranking adjusted to reflect the outcome.

ARENA STRUCTURE

Every world except Cyrbius (MOBA Challenger Rank), operates on a 1 sector step per win or loss.

FOR EXAMPLE

If you win a match and you're current world/sector before the match was Gelvaenarp-3 then your win will take you to Gelvaenarp-2. Your next win will promote you to Gelvaenarp-1 at which point you will enter Migration Qualifiers to the next world Palythoa-8.

You will then play 5 matches. Win 3 of the next 5 matches to gain your passport to the next world.

UNDERSTANDING WORLDS AND SECTORS

The arena mode follows a MOBA like ranking system where typical Bronze-Challenger ranks are represented by Worlds, and the Divisions are referred to as Sectors within these Worlds. There are a total of 8 sectors in each world ranging numerically from highest to lowest (1 to 8 respectively).

Worlds follow a first letter naming convention which is represented by common MOBA ranks listed in the table above, so that players might be become better acquainted with their rank/division based on the starting letter of the World they are in.

So a player who is in the World Inathea-4 refers to a typical MOBA rank of Iron 4.

Once the player has reached Sector 1 of their current world they will enter a series of qualifying matches which act as a passport application to the next world. This process is referred to as Migration.

Migration is approved if the player wins a minimum of 3 out of 5 of their Migration Qualifiers.

If they do not succeed, then the player is placed in the sector representing the number of losses they incurred during this process.

The minimum being Sector 3, maximum being Sector 5. For example, if the player lost 4 matches of the 5 qualifier matches, they would be put back into Inathea-4 which is representative of the number of defeats they incurred during the qualifier process.

CHALLENGER MODE (Cyrbius)

When players reach Cyrbius they are considered Challenger level competitors. This world is different from the rest and operates on a points based structure. When you first gain your passport to Cyrbius you are awarded 20 points.

Points are earned while on Cyrbius and you must ensure that you do not hit ZERO or below or your passport will be revoked and you will be returned to Mauw' Tuz-4 where you will be required to progress through the world in an attempt to regain access to Cyrbius once more.

Players will be matched against each other automatically. More competent players will receive less points for a victory against a lesser opponent, however, will be more heavily impacted as a result of any loss to a significantly weaker opponent.

Players will earn / lose between 1-5 points per match. The match making system will attempt to pair people of similar arena ranking where available.

THE RULES

There may be modes that include Enemy AI as well as Player v Player combat. You may be tasked to secure objectives, achieve a certain kill count within a specified time limit, possibly even tasked with the sabotage of an enemies life support systems. There are no friendlies in the Detention arena mode, there can be only one victor.

Make your mark, dominate your opponent, and secure those coveted arena points.

REWARDS AND PAYMENT STRUCTURE

Each part of the Play For Rewards system has it's own dedicated pool of funds. This is decided by the DEFVERSE Management Team at the end of each season when all income received during the current season (8 weeks) has been calculated and processed. The payments are then divided into their own dedicated rewards pool and then paid to the victors / winners of each game mode, tournament, or lottery.

The Detention / Sector 3 game modes will pay prize money to those players who are settled in the Cyrbius and possibly the Mauw' Tuz worlds at the end of each season, and will be proportionate to their achieved position in these worlds, represented by the number of points they currently own if on Cyrbius.
