Give them hell!

The Power Ups systems in Space Guardians handles all temporary bonuses that can be earned in game. These bonuses are generally triggered by items that can be picked up while the game is in play.

Power ups give the player a temporary boost in power and utility when needed the most, and can turn the tide of a battle when utilised correctly. An example of good utilisation might be:

• Activating or collecting a Damage Booster when a Mini-Boss appears

• Activating a counter measure to avoid an incoming homing missile attack

• Micro-warping / phase shifting before a Boss 1-Shot mechanic is triggered

There is an exception to this, and this is the Evolution Meter. This is discussed in detail in our Evolution Power section.
