Battle Points

How to earn them and how are they used?

When you engage in war, your fleet is awarded points based on a number of factors as described below. The overall score is then tallied up at the end of the match. You will lose the battle immediately if your Fleet Carrier is destroyed. Fleet carriers can be targeted during battle by enemy pilots, so it's important to ensure your fleet carrier is fully repaired before commencing battle.

If the defensive control value of a territory is less than or equal to ZERO after the battle points have been deducted from the defensive control value of that territory, then the region control becomes yours. This territory is now protected for 48 hours while control is transferred to your fleet.

Here are a list of ways you can earn points in WAR.

VICTORY POINTS

If you emerge victorious in a battle you will receive 100 bonus points that are added your total battle points. These points will be the main source of points used to chip away at an enemies total defensive control score.

OBJECTIVE POINTS

NPCs may have additional defences in place to help deter your attacks. As you engage the enemy you may be randomly presented with strategic challenges. If you complete these challenges within the allotted time period, you will gain additional battle points for your team. In a game where every point counts, these challenges may prove incredibly valuable. They can be the difference between victory and defeat when comparing your battle points against other player-controlled contenders for this territory.

CAPTURE POINTS - Command Units (Fleet Commanders + Battle Lieutenants)

When fighting another fleet you can capture the opposing forces fleet commander to bag yourself some extra battle points. Each fleet has one commander (or lieutenant) which is responsible for the battle. They call the shots and point out strategic targets for the fleet while you're in the heat of battle.

The opportunity may arise to CAPTURE the opposing forces Fleet Commander. You can do this by defeating the enemy fleet commander and remaining close to his wrecked ship for 30 seconds. While one of your fleet are near the enemy commander, you prevent him from respawning. This is only applicable to COMMAND units and not for the rest of the fleet.

Should you successfully capture the fleet commander, you will gain 50 battle points. The fleet commander will incur another 30 seconds respawn delay before he is allowed to return to the battle.

You may capture an enemy fleet commander more than once during a battle, each time awarding the captor, 50 bonus points. It's therefore of paramount importance, that the fleet commander be protected at ALL TIMES.

You can easily identify the enemy fleet commander by the aura around and icon above his ship. It will be different to all other units on the battle field.

CONTROL POINTS

During the match there may be certain points that become highlighted in the conflict zone. The team that controls the zone will begin to earn points for the control duration. These control points may be spawned at any time during the battle and may have multiple locations highlighted simultaneously. It is one of the responsibilities of the fleet commander to delegate units to seize and protect these zones.
